Getting registered
Find an employer willing to sponsor you, then register the apprenticeship with the provincial authority. Pre-apprenticeship programs can help you find that first placement.
Technical training terms
Apprentices alternate between work hours and in-school terms. Some supports exist specifically for the periods when you are in school.
Certification
Completing hours and exams leads to a certificate of qualification, and in many trades a Red Seal endorsement recognised across provinces.
